Gracefields Kindergarden Graduation 2010

This my third year working for their gradduation. It was another round of kiddy performances with the jubilant parents as their strong supporters.

Doing the deployment, BT told me beforehand that hs is placing me with someone I do not like. Being confident, I said it was alright, thinking that I'll just have to be a little more hardworking. I was however wrong when the event started.

There were three new colleagues and I was not in the mood to talk. I forgot to bring my phone with me. The conflict was sparked off by an idiotic patron who insist on consuming starbucks coffe inside the house. Not bringing it out after being approached by me, I asked that lazy colleague to approach for a different effect. Disppearing as usual to skive, I can't believe that she actually shouted across the block of seats, asking whether the new girl and I had approached the patron. The mic of the walkie-talkie was hanging down the buttons in a very unglam manner. Saying that we have approached, which the new girl in fact did not, she laughed aloud in a mocking manner, saying that it was hilarious that two of us could not settle a cup of coffee.

Angered by that, I asked whether she was trying to buy time. At this point of time, she said ridiculous stuffs and went to complain to EeYin for a very long period of time, and not settle the idiotic patron. Ridiculous.

Coming over to listen to my part of the story, EeYin and I was shocked by how that lazy colleague sneaked up to eavesdrop. My story was interrupted by that lazy colleague, who kept spouting ridiculous words out of her mouth, trying to create a scenario where she is the holy and righteous one. Disgusting. If she was confident that she was right, she wouldn't be stopping and trying control what people say. I am sure that she felt guilty and attempted to make me her scapegoat.

Asking the new colleague to take over my position, BT asked me to the foyer, listening to what happened after I warned him that something is going to happen during debrief. I wasn't given the chance to finish the whole story though, only spoke the main parts. That lazy colleague was then called out to say her part of the story next. I do not know what she would say, but I am confident that the rest of my colleagues would be on my side despite of her lies.

While the event went on, that lazy colleague pretend to work, giving me instructions and sounded as if the patron with a restless baby was not attended by me. Despicable acts by her as usual. The atmosphere was tense and quiet till the end of the event.

Expecting something to happen during debrief, BT just asked the rest of the colleagues to keep our walkie-talkies and torchlights and brought us down. I was puzzled by what was going on but was expecting a talk in the office.

I was right, the issue is to be settled in the office. Having the feeling that I may lose control of myself, I did not talk much. So much lies from her with the despicable righteous tone, I was on the verge of crying. Yes, it was tears of anger.

I did not have the chance to talk as well. My mind was overwhelmed by anger. I aws dissapointed with myself. I thought I would settle this calmly. It was this session that I knew why I always have the feeling that she was expecting me to be exceptionally nice to her. It was all because of a small bag that she gave me when we first knew each other. She must be insane that a small bag could bribe me to tolerate and condone her mistakes and laziness.

It was concluded that BT have to write an incident report. I was afraid to lose my job when I heard that there was this report. The conclusion was that we quarrelled infront of the patrons which did not actually happened. I did not have a chance to say a word to this wrong conclusion made and I was doing my best to control my tears then.

Going out to finish off the administrative stuffs that is to be done after every event, I asked BT whether I'll be in trouble. He said no but I am still doubtful. That lazy colleague stayed inside the office to continue ranting. I was out when BT saw me rubbing my eyes and asked me leave the office first.

BT told me that the extra timings could be claimed. Weird. I just punch out my card as usual and record accordingly. I am alright with extra pay, I have no wrong in accepting extra pay for attending to this trouble.

I then went home with Jane who waited for me at the usher desk. Thanks to her that I was not so lonely when I left the place.

Share Investor Seminar

It was my first time being late for work. Late for three minutes. I ran like a mad women from the MRT station to my reporting place. The haze was giving me breathing difficulty, causing my speed of running to be really slow. The bright side was that I was still able to pay back the time that I was late for.

Quickly got myself changed and equipped, I went up to join my colleagues, starting the day with the routine house checks.

I am deployed to Door six. I stood near Door four in the end as no patron was allowed to take the seats at the second half of the house. It was really tiring to persuade difficult patrons to take the seats infront. Getting really sick and tired of it, YuRi set up queue poles during the intermission to block the whole of the elevated seats. The layout was really drama. But it really helps a lot.

There was mainly speakers for five companies. The partner of the speaker's for the Australian win company was really tall! I stood on the blue platform of the elevated seats and the guy was same height as me when he walked pass me on the ground.

He went to stand beside YuRi, I was laughing at the big height difference. I asked YuRi whether he felt short and he replied "yes I do" with pause and emphasis. What a funny moment.

After the event, we quickly went for our lunch at Amoy Street before the next event commences. It was a marathon day.

Mid-Autumn Festival By The River 2010

My first time attending such big public event. I met up with PeiFen after attachment to enjoy this picture taking session. Thanks to Uncle Jimmy who told me about this.

We took pictures of the displays of the twelve zodiac signs and the additional displays of dragon and the famous classical Chinese stories and sayings.

After the camera-snapping session, we went to take a look at the quiz section. Staring at it for some time, I managed to make out some answers but those words does not seems to exist. One participant went up to give the answer I thought of, and he was right! PeiFen and I was shocked.

After much pondering, thinking and checking my answer for a hundred times, I finally took up the courage to give it a try. I was still shy to do so. Thanks to PeiFen for accompanying me to queue up for the microphone. Giving my answer, I was right! I won a voucher for free Mr Bean soya milk and pancake set. Happy!

As I do not know how to pronounce the word I thought of, I was allowed to write down. I was asked to explain by the "drummer" but he interupted me while I was talking. I was thinking, he might as well do the explanation.

I was really over the moon for first time for participating in a public quiz and won something! I really need to work on my courage.

PeiFen and I then strolled around the shops at Central. I was searching for a bear shop I heard from my senior of my secondary school. As we were about to give up and head home, we found the shop! Nice! The logo sure is very adorable and attention-catching. Simple and nice. The varieties of bears available sure is a lot!

After photo-taking, we chatted at the bus-stop where I waited for my bus before we left. I was looking forward to upload the pictures taken as I made successful candid shot of PeiFen finally.

aLife Charity Concert 2010

It was a rather chaotic event. Reaching the loading bay, YuRi showed me the ticket for the night. It looked "awesome"! It was some kiddy drawings.

When the commences, the ticket did not turn out to what was shown to me. It was a bookmark with an additional piece of paper tied to it. I just have to tear out that piece of paper. Nice bookmarks.

As I was posted outside, I could watch the show from the TV. Nice ballet. How I wish I could watch it inside. Their splits are just so perfect. The music was nice too.

Looking around at the merchandises sold at the glass table, I like some of the creative items. The hirer was nice enough to give us the very cute horses and cows that were handmade. As it was on sale that day, she can only give it to us the next time she drop by.

It is really nice to work with nice hirers. This kind of situation however does not seems to occur very often.

UOB Kay Hian Seminar

This event was pratically full of weirdos! Interesting! I was positioned at Door 3 inside with YuYue outside. Standing outside Dorr 3 while the patrons entered, I notified the rest of the colleagues inside that there were a lot of weirdo for the day. Weird questions were asked and lots of people queried for the location of the toilets. YuYue said that their face had the expression why isn't the toilet built inside the house.

The one patron that I remember the most is an old lady who wanted to consume her medication inside the house. Telling her nicely, she actually gave me a case scenario to solve. Wow. It was an easy one though. She laughed in a very funny manner and left the house to consume her medication. Coming back, she took her purse from her bag and shook it infront of YuYue and me, saying, "see, almost lost my purse". YuYue and I were literally shocked. After she left, we bursted out laughing.

It was good that they are just weird and not nasty. I really dislike those nasty people who thinks so highly of themselves.

Staying outside, YuYue, BT, Jane and I chatted. Gossips. We talked about the steamboat too. I went to the toilet halfway due to diahrrea. Going the second time before the intermission just for some "small business", BT asked me to rest at the loading bay and shut the door. Shocked. He said he had already asked Jane to cover my post. In any case, I quickly screw back the earpiece that dropped out from my walkie-talkie and went out after BT left the door.

Searching for "my" pregnant lady, I was not able to find her. Most probably she had left for a break. Waiting at the door while catching food and drinks, I caught hold of her when she came back. I offered seats at the front row for her so that it's easier. She declined as it was "too front".

I was shocked that no body actually bothered to shift towards the side and she had to squeeze into the seat deep inside. Her tummy was already rather big. While looking for a better seat for her, BT cracked a joke saying that her frequency of going to the toilet will be as high as mine. YuYue say I can just go to the toilet together with the lady. Funny. It was however a good learning point that I have never experienced. If this is to happen again in future, I would be able to solve it instantly.

After the intermission, it was time to relax. I drank water and "soaked" my lips into the water, attempting to hydrate myself. Lots of dried skin was torn off while I "soaked" my lips. That showed how dry my lips were. Some weird man came to chat with YuYue and me while I was "soaking" my lips.

The hirer was nice enough to pack two big bags of the leftover packets of food for us. Armomatic dry Mee Siam from Old Chang Kee. I can hear my stomach growling when I smell the food. They were kind enough to give a big pack to the cleaners too. Nice.

We distributed the food at the loading bay after the event ended. Asked people to take first so that I can take the rest home. My big appetite can accomodate to large amount of food. I took two boxes only in the end as someone wanted the other eight boxes. Whatever.

I made my trip to Grandma house for lunch and took a rest before the next event commences at night.
