Coldplay - Viva La Vida

Viva La Vida is a Spanish term that basically means "Live the Life". It is commonly known as the song written by Coldplay but the term has it's meaning too. With many cover played by many, I really love the classical pop version played by a famous violinist. It's just amazing. A cover sang by a singer named Darin is not bad too.

Here is the music video of the song by Coldplay and below are the lyrics.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you're gone there was never
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Woahahahah oh, woahahah oh
Woahahahah oh, woahahah oh,
Woahahahah
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
ooooooh ooh oooooh oh ooooooh oh oooooh ooh.

Here is the version sang by Darin. It's just the audio only. I am not able to find any music video on that.

As the song and music originates from Coldplay, here is my favourite version by David Garrett, a famous violinist that holds the world record for the fastest "Flight of the Bumblebee" played.

Both the music and video are wonderful isn't it? Totally love the creativity and how colourful it is! Honestly, I am more attracted to the beats and feel rather than the lyrics of this song.

There are many other awesome pieces presented by this musician but I still hope to see more of the amazing music pieces and videos by this amazing musician in future.

David Garrett is officially listed as one of my favourite musicians! ;)
